A Hartlepool charity is hoping a popular cinema event will be another blockbuster.
Hartlepool Families First is inviting film fans to enjoy some great movies and raise money for activities for disabled young people by once again supporting its Open Air Cinema.

The event takes place next weekend on Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17, at West Hartlepool Rugby Club on Catcote Road.
Films on the bill this year are Pixar’s Oscar winning Inside Out on Saturday at 2pm followed by popular chick-flick Pretty Woman at 8pm.
On Sunday, families enjoy Disney classic The Jungle Book at 2pm. Audiences will be able to sing along to all three movies.
Hartlepool Families First manager Paul Thompson, said: “This is our sixth year and it has grown in popularity.
“The pinnacle was two years ago when we showed Disney’s Frozen and ended up having to put it on three times and just short of 2,000 people attended over the weekend.
“But it is always very well attended and supported by the people of Hartlepool because it is something a little bit different.”
Gates open two hours before each screening and there will also be fairground rides, stalls, food and refreshments.
A DJ will play music and people can take along their own picnic if they wish.
“People can really make a day of it,” added Paul.
Proceeds from the weekend go towards the work of Families First, in York Road, which runs many activities for children and young people with disabilities or additional needs.
Organisers are keeping their fingers crossed for good weather. But Paul said heavy downpours failed to dampen people’s spirits during a screening of Mama Mia a few years ago.
Tickets are £10 per performance for adults, £2.50 for under 16s and £20 for a family ticket.
They are available by calling the hotline on (01429) 867016.
