Mark Hughes, head of Hartlepool Sixth Form College, said: “We are delighted and honoured to host the very first Young Performer of the Year competition which will showcase the incredible young talent in our area.

“There are so many gifted individuals in the Hartlepool area and I am fortunate enough to witness the creativity and vibrancy in our town every day via the talent of the college’s performing arts students.”

Now we are calling on you to nominate individuals who deserve a Best of Hartlepool Award and those who are worthy of the Young Performer of the Year accolade.

The top three from the performance evening at the college will go on to compete at the grand finale of the overall awards.
