Pool this afternoon signed centre-forward Jake Cassidy from Guiseley, as well as sealing a deal for tough-tackling Chester City captain Luke George.

And Craig Harrison has now bagged his third acquisition of the day with Munns coming in from the Robins on a free transfer.

Munns, 23, is a graduate of Leyton Orient's youth system before making the move across London to Tottenham Hotspur in 2012.

The next step in his career came at Charlton Athletic where he spent two seasons before moving to Whaddon Road, where he established himself as a regular.

Munns played 18 times in League Two last season, as Cheltenham finished four points and two places above Pools, who were relegated from the Football League on the final day of last season.

He was on the bench at the Vic when Town beat Pools 1-0 in April.
