Hartlepool continues to be hot, hot, hot but is the scorcher going to continue?

The sunshine and scorching summer temperatures are set to continue into the weekend as Hartlepool continues to stay tropical.

Temperatures topped 24C and compared to 24C in Algiers, 26C in Athens, 28C in Paris and 27C in Barcelona.

The weather brough sunseekers out in force in Hartlepool enjoying the delights of the seaside and town parks.

Weather forecasters say Thursday will see any early mist and low cloud will soon clear to leave another dry day with plenty of sunshine.

It will be very warm inland, but cooler near coasts with onshore breezes and a maximum temperature for the region is expected to be 27C.

From Friday to Sunday, forecasters expect it to be often sunny during the daytime with very warm, then warm temperatures inland, but cooler near coasts with onshore breezes.

But they say mist and low cloud may encroach inland during overnight periods.
