Pool rearranged their first game of the season for last Sunday, their opponents being Darlington.

They now face the same opposition this weekend, hoping their bowlers can put in a stronger performance than in Sunday’s game.

Pool were chasing a score of 230 and were well set when the rains brought an abrupt end to the match.

Pool have seen themselves play a number of games against the same opposition over recent weeks. They have played Billingham Synthonia twice in the league, and have also had both Kerridge and MacMillan cup ties against them too.

Pool name a strong side, with Phil Mustard returning, having represented Durham for the Sunday game last week.

Chris Smith, Dale Metcalfe and Jonathan Carson continue to provide Pool with a trio of spin options, whilst Olli Mole is promoted to the first team and may lead the attack with Lewis Stabler.

Stabler has been sharing the new ball to good effect with Dale Metcalfe, who has bowled very economically all season.

Pool will be hopeful of a positive result as they aim to push away from midtable, and the teams scrapping it out below them.

Meanwhile, Seaton Carew travel to Great Ayton’s Leven Park for their league game tomorrow.
