A LAW firm has raised more than £3,500 for charity by encouraging people to make a Will.

Tilly Bailey & Irvine and its clients have raised £3,620 for Hartlepool & District Hospice through the Make a Will campaign.

During May last year, the firm’s wills and probate department donated all fees received from the preparation of single or joint wills to the hospice.

Carolyn Tilly, partner with the solicitors and head of the company’s wills and probate department, said: “We are always keen to support this campaign. Hartlepool Hospice provides a vital service to so many people locally. These funds will help it continue to be there at those difficult times when people really need them.

“The great thing about Make a Will month is that it also encourages people to plan ahead and prepare a legally valid will that ensures that their wishes are met and their loved ones provided for in the event of their death.”

Hospice trust fundraiser Anne Gladwin said: “Our supporters are always delighted with the service they receive from Tilly Bailey & Irvine Solicitors, and happy that their money is making a real difference to the hospice.”
