Hartlepool junction at standstill after 4x4 crash

ONE of Hartlepool’s busiest junctions was brought to a standstill after a 4x4 collided with a metal barrier.

The collision happened at the top of Church Street, Hartlepool, at its crossroads with Marina Way and Clarence Road.

A red Suzuki Jimny vehicle was the only vehicle involved.

Police attended the scene of the incident which caused some disruption.

It was recovered about an hour later by a pick up truck.

No-one is believed to have been injured and an ambulance was not called said police.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said: “On duty police came across a vehicle which had collided with a barrier just after 3pm.”
