Staff from a law firm with offices in Hartlepool and Wynyard pounded the streets to raise cash for the fight against dementia.
Colleagues of Tilly Bailey & Irvine came together to run between their Wynyard and Stockton bases as part of the Running Down Dementia programme.
Staff members from across the firm’s offices in Stockton, Hartlepool and Wynyard completed the seven-mile Office Dash to Dash.
The raised £260 bringing TBI’s total for Alzheimers UK this summer to £1,100.
Helen Elstob, Senior Associate Solicitor, said: “It was a fantastic day, with colleagues from across our offices coming together to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Everyone did really well.
“We also have a team who has signed up to complete the Running Down Dementia challenge.
“They are 6th on the distance leader board and the total raised so far is over £1,100, combining the funds raised in the Office to Office Dash of over £260.
“Dementia affects loved ones, their families and their friends, and we are dedicated and proud to support this charity.”
Anna Barber and Mark Ellis were first to make it to Wynyard in one hour 11 minutes.
TBI are also hosting an Afternoon Tea in aid of Alice House Hospice on Thursday, September 13.
Carolyn added she is expecting a good turnout of North East businesses and hope to help make a real difference.
She said: “We’re delighted to put our name to this event in support of the fantastic work that continues to be done by Alice House Hospice.”
Carol Sennett, Corporate Fundraiser at Alice House, added: “The event is a lovely afternoon which has now become a regular in our Hospice calendar.”
