A flourishing community initiative which sees people enjoying social dancing has been extended to a second venue.
The Social Dance sessions are held each week at the Borough Hall on the Headland in Hartlepool.
They have gone so well so far, that new sequence dances are being included as well as the old favourites including Rumba Rosalie, Saunter Together and a selection of Ballroom and Latin numbers. All dancers are welcome from complete novices, singles and advanced dancers.
Music and tuition is provided by a qualified dance teacher and organisers have urged people to “come and socialise and meet new friends.”
Sessions are held at the Borough Hall every Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm, costing £3 per person with refreshments provided.
But now, a second venue is holding Social Dance. Classes have started at the Brierton Sports Centre and are being held every Friday from 1pm to 3pm.
The cost is £3 with refreshments available.
Places can be booked at the Headland Sports Centre in Union Street, both in advance and on the day. Anyone wanting more details should contact (01429) 284054 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
