A Hartlepool poet has shown his love for the town with a special video highlighting its beauty.
Brian Loughborough, 56, has been left ‘delighted’ with the feedback since releasing ‘Hartlepool’s the place to be’ on his Facebook page.
In just weeks, the video – which aims to promote the town as a place for filmmakers to consider as a shooting location – has had almost 2,000 views.
It highlights the marina, the Headland and Hartlepool’s beaches and churches, as well as the nearby countryside, as among the town’s highlights.
Brian has a Facebook page and a YouTube channel and he has had thousands of views of his videos.
Brian, of Owton Manor, said: “I’m useless with technology but have a YouTube channel and a Facebook page, and decided to post the poetry video to help to promote the town.

“It’s such a beautiful place and if I was filming, this is a place I would want to feature.
“I’m delighted with the way people have responded to the video.”
Brian took up poetry 14 years ago when he was selling copies of the Big Issue magazine in London.
At the time, he was homeless, and he says poetry helped to give him a new lease of life.
He added: “I was homeless and bored, and to pass the time, I took up poetry.
“I can produce poetry instantly on any subject, and I haven’t been beaten by anyone yet.
“I just love doing poetry and love doing what I can do promote Hartlepool.
“You can’t keep my quiet.
“Since taking up poetry, I’ve been struggling along for the last 14 years so to get some recognition like this is very good for me.
“When I do it and people appreciate it, it is the biggest buzz.
“It’s the biggest buzz you can get.”
