Visitors to a Hartlepool park were able to experience a “bubble-tastic” time thanks to the talents of a street entertainer.
Richard Shaw took his bubble-making skills to Seaton Carew Park in Station Lane, where he mesmerised youngsters and those young at heart with his floaty soapy bubbles.
Dubbed The Bubble Man by locals, he took up the skill after teaching himself the craft to bring some enjoyment to people’s lives.
Richard, who moved to Hartlepool in 2010 from the USA to be near family, says he showcases his skills in public “just to make people smile”.
The carer, from Stanhope Avenue, Hartlepool, is often seen out and about in public places practicing his talent, however it was visitors to the park who were the ones lucky enough to see him in action.
Speaking about his skill, he said: “Bubbles either teach you to have fun, or make you remember how to have fun. I’ve been interested in bubbles since I had my first bubble bath, they’re just fascinating.”
