Hartlepool’s Middleton Grange shopping centre looks for more new stores

A shopping centre has secured 11 new lettings in the last 10 months as bosses hope to continue adding new stores in the new year.

This year has seen several new retailers open at Middleton Grange Shopping Centre in Hartlepool which occupy more than 31,000 sq ft of retail space.

Shoe shop Pavers which opened in the summer and toy shop The Entertainer moved into the centre last month. Other additions were Select, PEP&CO, Bonnie Babies, Furniture Express as well as charities Forces Support and Sue Ryder.

Centre manager Mark Rycraft said: “It has been a very exciting year for us here at Middleton Grange as we have welcomed new and varied stores to our retailer mix.

“Feedback from shoppers has been fantastic and new stores have created an overall more satisfying shopping experience.

“We are committed to continuing to enhance our retailer mix for our shoppers as well as the future of the centre and Hartlepool, and hope our shoppers enjoy our expanding retail offer.”

Further positive moves include the relocation and upsize of Holland & Barratt which allowed Poundland to expand the size of their store.
