A Hartlepool school has issued a warning to parents over child safety.
Manor Community Academy has put a message on its Facebook page telling people to be on their guard after reports of someone offering a lift to children.
It read: "It has come to our attention that a fair-haired male, driving a white van, may be in the area asking children if they would like a lift.
"We have no further details, but urge you to be vigilant and report any concerns directly to the police or to Mrs Cumming at Manor Community Academy."
A spokeman for Cleveland Police said they were not aware of any incidents of this nature.
