Hartlepool slash ticket prices to boost battle against the League Two drop

After the weekend results, which included a late 2-1 defeat for Pools at Blackpool, Dave Jones' men remain eight points clear of Newport County, who occupy 23rd, the second League Two relegation spot.

And in order to boost their hopes of retaining their Football League status, they're desperate for fans to pack out the Northern Gas & Power Stadium.

As a result they've dropped their ticket prices for their upcoming fourth tier clash with Barnet at the Vic to just £10 for adults, £5 concessions.

This price is available for advanced tickets purchases as well as those bought at the gate, and applies for both home and away fans.

Chairman Gary Coxall says he understands the importance of the fans to the club, at this crucial stage of the season.

He said: "We know that our supporters are at the heart of everything we’re trying to achieve at this club and we want as many as possible to get behind us.

"It’s important that we have as much backing as we can during the run-in to the end of the season and hopefully this offer will help us attract a bumper crowd for the game against Barnet.

"Generally, our home form has been good in recent times so we want as many people as possible to come along and support the lads to another important result."
