A Hartlepool firm is celebrating five years of helping other companies with expert training.
Approach Training Safely is based in the Hartlepool Enterprise Centre, in Brougham Terrace, and has directors Kathryn Northey and Kelly Robson at the helm.
Kelly said she and Kathryn set up the company at a time when both of them had just become carers in their own lives.
“Over the last four to five years, our care responsibilities have increased,” added Kelly.
But their own commitments have not stopped them from continuing to provide training to other firms in the region.
That support has come in areas such as first aid at work, emergency first aid, and moving and handling people.
It also covers areas such as fire safety awareness, food hygiene awareness, and sessions on infection control.
This is a team which also looks at dementia, safeguarding, equality and diversity.
Kelly and Kathryn are both experienced health care professionals and qualified teachers. They said Approach Training Safely knew how important it was for businesses to be confident that their workforce was receiving appropriate and relevant training that enhances the care provided to clients.
The firm can help with everything from training offsite for individuals through to helping larger groups in the workplace.
