HARTLEPOOL looks set to receive a raw deal compared to the south of the country when it comes to its share of the warmer weather over the next few days.
While London is warmed by clear blue sunshine skies with only the odd cloud, and temperatures of 18C matching Spain’s until Sunday, Hartlepool’s forecast is mainly cloudy with the odd period of sunshine, and with highs of just 9C.
Hartlepudlians should have been able to enjoy their best bout of sunshine today though, with clouds only breaking the clear skies mid-afternoon.
Temperatures reached around 9C with light winds of 7mph.
Tomorrow, Friday, April 17, temperatures remain at 9C, but there will be a cloudy morning with some sunshine peaking through around 1pm, with a nice sunny evening forecast.
There will be stronger winds of 12mph making it feel cooler, however.
Met office experts predict that the town’s weather will nosedive for the weekend as cloud cover increases.
Saturday will see temperatures drop to 8C, winds at 11mph, and medium to dark clouds throughout the day, with the odd ray of sunshine breaking through in the morning.
On Sunday, April 19, winds will increase to 15mph and the skies are predicted to be overcast for most of the day.
A Met Office spokeswoman said: “Southern parts of the country are going to be warmer than the north over the next few days.
“As yet though at least there is no sign of rain.”
