CREATIVE children had a fantastic brush with art and more could be on the way.
ARTventurers Tees Valley is now holding sessions in Hartlepool for children to get really involved in art.
A first event in the Belle Vue Community Centre went down an absolute treat, said entrepreneur Shirley Anne Wood, 39.
“It was filled with lots of pirate mess, paint and crafts.
“It is a wonderful opportunity for families to play and spend time together.”
But anyone wanting to have another fun-filled day - and those who missed out first time - can come along to the next class on Saturday, June 6.
It will start at 10.30am at Belle Vue Community Centre.
Shirley’s aim was to bring art to the younger generation in Hartlepool.
ARTventurers now run art, sensory and messy play classes for children in the area. Shirley has a background as a freelance digital media artist and, after maternity leave in 2013, was looking for a new challenge.
That’s when she decided she wanted to make a difference for children in the area. Shirley has now run ARTventurers Tees Valley classes for over a year.
