Headline bands set to wow crowds at Hartlepool charity gig
A charity gig bringing together a mix of headline artists and local talent is set to draw in Hartlepool crowds.
The concert organised by Al Devon who runs Peng Music, will see acts such as Liverpool band The Hummingbirds, take to the stage at The Studio to raise funds for Miles for Men.
Mr Devon said the concert on June 23 looks set to be a huge success and hopes it will raise as much money as possible for the charity.
He said: “I run a company called Peng Music which is putting all the bands on for Miles for Men’s big event in July, so this event is a mini fundraiser just to get things going.
“I wanted to use Peng to help out Miles for Men and use the headline bands bring in crowds to help raise as much money as possible for the charity.
“The Hummingbirds are coming from Liverpool and they are a really great band which has recently won a Liverpool Music Award.
“They are a really up-and-coming band who have played at a lot of big festivals and they are coming up to Hartlepool to play.
“The Hummingbirds have got a really good buzz around them - they are much like the Beatles and there is a lot of excitement around them.
“There will also be four local acts as well, TheFineTimes, The Kets, Danny Devon and Tinny Bennett, who are all quality acts.
“It looks set to be a great event.”
Doors to the concert held at The Studio on Tower Street, will open at 7.30pm.
Tickets can be ordered online via www.wegottickets.com for £6 or can be bought on the door for £7.
