DOG owners can get their pets’ health checked for free at a series of sessions this week.
Hartlepool Borough Council has again joined forces with the national charity PDSA to offer checks at various locations.
It follows on from the success of a previous initiative that took place in May this year.
Kate Ainger, the council’s environmental projects officer, said: “We are pleased to again be working in partnership with the PDSA as part of our on-going drive to promote responsible dog ownership.”
Checks will be taking place at the following locations:
l Tuesday from 10am to 5pm at Seaton Carew coach park.
l Wednesday from 10am to 5pm at Thornhill Allotments at the end of Thornhill Gardens.
l Thursday from 10am to 5pm at Summerhill.
l Friday from 10am to 5pm in the car park at King George V Playing Fields.
All checks are carried out by a PDSA veterinary nurse and cover dogs’ body condition and weight as well as their teeth, gums, eyes, ears, coat condition and general fitness.
