KEEN readers have flooded the Hartlepool Mail with entries for this year’s Best of Health Awards.
In the space of one weekend, the number of nominations for the competition almost doubled and there is still time for more. In fact, we would love to reach triple figures in our search to honour the best in the health profession.
We want entries in categories such as GP of the Year, Dentist of the Year; Nurse of the Year; Optometrist of the Year; and Carer of the Year.
Already, we have had worthy entries for people in general practice, health improvement, team of the year, midwife, and long term achievement. But we are sure there are lots more worthy contenders out there, especially in some categories where the response so far has not been as strong as others, such as for dentists, optometrists and pharmacists.
This year, the awards are being backed by NHS Hartlepool, the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, IntraHealth, Seneca Homes, and the Cleveland Fire Support Network.
It could not be easier for people to nominate their favourites from all sections of the health system.
