A KIDNEY patient is urging people to sign up for the donor register after both him and his wife were diagnosed with the same rare condition.
Hartlepool man Dave Hill, 59, was stunned when he was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease (PKD).
Amazingly, his wife Gill, 55, was told by medics she also had the same condition when she went for a routine check-up.
Now Dave is hoping his story will encourage people to sign up to become a kidney donor after joining the register for a transplant which could save his life.
