Heatwave over for now

THE summer heatwave will take a back seat this week according to forecasters.

And the weather is expected to get worse before it gets better.

Temperatures will struggle to get above 20 degrees Celsius – 68 Fahrenheit.

People should keep a brolly handy as more showers are expected for Hartlepool according to the Met Office.

Here is the forecast for the next four days.

Monday – The sunniest day of the week with some cloud developing in the afternoon.

Tuesday – Feeling slightly cooler. Bright in the morning but cloud from the afternoon.

Wednesday – Light rain, turning heavy, throughout the day with a few sunny spells.

Thursday – A dry start to the day but light rain showers are expected come the afternoon.
