Help for parents

PARENTS and guardians of children with disabilities after being urged to attend a meeting to learn more about services that are available to help.

An event, being held in Hartlepool on Wednesday, March 7, has been organised by parents and aims to highlight the various short break services available for families of disabled children.

The event takes place at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience between 9.30am and 2.30pm.

Tracy Liveras, of Hartlepool Borough Council, said: “This will be the sixth Parent Led Conference and it is a great way for parents and families to find out about the wide range of short break services on offer.”

The event is fee to attend and lunch is provided, but organisers say people must book a place in advance.
