Help shape crime priorities

PEOPLE can help set priorities for tackling crime and improving community safety in Hartlepool in the years ahead at a meeting later this month.

The Safer Hartlepool Partnership is holding a Face the Public event on Tuesday, September 18, at Hartlepool College of Further Education, in Stockton Street, from 6pm to 8pm.

Anyone interested in going must register by tomorrow.

As well as being able to air views on what they feel are the priorities, people will also be able to put questions to senior representatives of the key organisations which make up the partnership, including Cleveland Police and Hartlepool Borough Council.

There will be presentations on the work which the partnership has done over the past year.

This November will see the election of a new Police and Crime Commissioner to serve the Cleveland area, who will have overall control of a budget which would previously have been shared among local community safety partnerships to tackle local priorities.

Anyone who would like to take part in the event should please confirm their attendance with Adele Wilson in our Community Regeneration Team on (01429) 523703 or email by tomorrow.
