Homes daubed with racist graffiti

RACIST vandals daubed abusive graffiti over two Hartlepool homes.

Today police are appealing for witnesses to the racially motivated attack on the two properties in the town’s Grange Road, which also saw a bay window smashed.

The houses were targeted by the yobs between 11.25pm and 11.35pm on Friday, October 19, who used a blue marker pen to write the racist words on the wall of one property and on the door of another.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “Police are appealing for information after racist graffiti was inscribed on two properties in Grange Road in Hartlepool and a large bay window was smashed.

“The graffiti was written in blue marker pen on a wall of one property and a door of another, one of these homes also suffered criminal damage after the window was smashed.”

She added: “We would appeal to anyone who knows who is responsible, or who has any information on the incident to come forward.”

Those who can help in the investigation should contact PC Geoff Coggin, of Hartlepool Police, on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
