Hop along to Hartlepool libraries' Easter events

Hartlepool's libraries have a full programme of activities lined up to keep youngsters happy this Easter.

Making a 3D goldfish bowl, decorating paste eggs, treasure hunts, creating Easter baskets, the ever-popular baby babble, read and rhyme and sing and sign sessions are just some of the events. There’s also an opportunity to meet some real birds of prey and their handlers in a birds of prey show in Central Library.

Continuing the bird theme, during the second week of the libraries’ stories and rhyme sessions, Natural England – the Government’s independent advisor on the natural environment – will be promoting its illustrated children’s book ‘Migration Day’, which tells the story of the epic journey of one of the Tees Valley’s summer visitors - the common tern.

All children who take part in the second week’s stories and rhyme sessions at any of the libraries will receive a free copy of the book and will be able to enjoy drinks and snacks courtesy of Natural England.

All the events are free unless otherwise stated.
