Host of events lined up for library celebrations

HARTLEPOOL Central Library is coming of age with 21 years in York Road and to celebrate a number of events have been arranged including:

● Trisha Ashley: Come along for cupcakes and a chat with Sunday Times best-selling author Trisha Ashley on Monday, October 22 at 2pm and 7pm.

Tickets cost £5.

● Lee Maddison. Lee grew up in Hartlepool and has been writing and performing his folk inspired songs around the area and beyond for more than 20 years.

He will be at the library on Monday, November 5 at 6.30pm and tickets cost £2.

● Read Regional Roadshow. This year the library is welcoming authors Mari Hannah and Russ Litten to Hartlepool in this showcase for local talent.

The roadshow takes place on Tuesday, November 6 at 6.30pm and tickets cost £3.

● Dan Smith, author of ‘Dark Horizons’ makes a return to town to talk about his new book, ‘The Child Thief’ on Thursday, November 8 at 6.30pm and tickets cost £3.

● Paul Torday: Author of ‘Salmon Fishing in the Yemen’ will be talking about his latest work, ‘The Legacy of Hartlepool Hall’ on Wednesday, November 14 at 3pm.

Tickets cost £5.

● Cartoonist Keith Robson, who has provided cartoon illustrations for comic books including Dandy, Beano and Topper is hosting an adult workshop on Monday, November 26, at 6.30pm.

Tickets for the 16 plus event cost £2.

● Sean Cooney. He will be presenting an entertaining and musical selection of tales, old and new, on Friday, November 30 at 7pm and tickets cost £5.
