The monthly Saturday night comedy club has proved a big hit since launching in front of a packed crowd in 2009.

Peter Vincent of promoters Ten Feet Tall said the latest line-up would keep up the record for attracting top comedians.

“He’s a founder member of the Comedy Store’s Cutting Edge team, and he’s also been the support for people like Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jo Brand and Eddie Izzard.”

He said he was “chuffed to bits” to have attracted Julian Deane to Hartlepool as well.

John Smith will be the compere for the night. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm show and tickets are £9 and £8.

They are available from Hartlepool Tourist Information Centre and Art Gallery in Church Square. .
