Hartlepool is still feeling the effects of the closure of one of its biggest employers 12 months after it went to the wall.

Today marks the first anniversary of the closure of Garlands Call Centre in Hartlepool, a bombshell which left 621 workers facing bleak futures.

While many have successfully found new work, 70 are still in the job queue and one man says he could leave the town after he received 100 rejections in his desperate search for employment.
