MAYOR Stuart Drummond is at odds with his cabinet over plans to allocate new wards a £5,000 pot of cash for minor schemes.

The town’s elected mayor said he has always believed that councillors should have individual budgets for their own wards.

But other members of the cabinet committee argue that £5,000 is an “incredibly small” amount of money and instead there should be a larger pot of cash that representatives can make bids to.
