Should Hartlepool Borough Council sell Victoria Park back to Hartlepool United?

PLANS for Hartlepool United to buy their Victoria Park ground could move a step closer after a study revealed the club is worth £5m a year to the town.

Hartlepool Borough Council’s cabinet committee will meet to discuss the potential sale on the back of an economic impact study by BiGGAR Economics, commissioned by the club and council.

The ground is valued at around £625,000, but it could exchange hands without payment as part of wider plans to develop the Mill House site masterplan, with a residential, business and leisure development.
