Television personality Jeff Stelling will be the guest of honour at Hartlepool’s annual business awards.
The ceremony at the Borough Hall on Thursday, May 12, next year, will have 11 categories and Hartlepool Business Forum co-ordinator Andrew Steel said: “We are delighted that Jeff has been able to fit us into his busy diary.

Hartlepool MP Iain Wright will also be at the event which attracts around 300 guests and saw Deepdale Solutions land the main award this year.
Mr Steel added: “The event is always a popular event, and it is a real opportunity for the business community in Hartlepool to gather together and celebrate all of the hard work that is done throughout the year.
“It is fantastic to see so many businesses managing to survive and thrive in the harshest economic climate we have known for some time.”
Jeff said: “It is always great to be home but specially looking forward to meeting some of those who show what can be achieved with drive, imagination and determination even in difficult economic times.”
Prizes in the Service Sector, Manufacturer of the Year, Community, Business Leader of the Year and Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality will be given. There are also awards for Creative Industries, Young Entrepreneur, Most Promising New Business, Investment in Training and Best Small Business, and the Overall Business of the Year.
Tickets are £35 per person before April 1, and £40 after.
