WHAT a success our fantastic business competition has become.

Word has spread all over the UK about our Keys To Success contest, which is being run by the Hartlepool Mail in conjunction with the business support subsidiary of Tata Steel called UK Steel Enterprise.

In just three weeks, we’ve had a string of top-class entries and we shall be revealing more about them soon.

But we have also had interest from organisations from all over the country. Firms in all walks of life have asked for more details about the contest in which one lucky entrant will win a 200 sq ft office for a year.

There is still around five weeks left of the search to find entrants.

The eventual winner will move into a 200 sq ft office which is rent and rate free for a year and can comfortably accommodate three people.

The office is in the Hub Two building at the Innovation Centre on the Queens Meadow Business Park in Hartlepool. Other facilities include one of the fastest Internet connections in the region; a water system that re-uses collected rainwater; and a charger for electric vehicles in the car park.

It also has air conditioning; a manned reception and waiting area; free parking; 24 hour access; high security; well-equipped meeting rooms; a kitchen, gym and chill-out room; and attractive landscaped grounds.

The winner will be a business that would benefit from being given the kick-start of a free furnished office and full use of all the centre facilities for 12 months.

It could be a business just starting, in its early days or ready for expansion. It could be someone who already has business experience; a young person with limited capital; or someone older wanting to use their redundancy money to take the plunge into self-employment.

The list of potential entrants is immense. All we need now is for people to put their names forward before the deadline. After that, we will begin the process of sifting through the entries.

A panel of judges will meet to decide on the eventual winner but that point has not been reached yet and there’s still time for you to put your name forward.
