KEEN people still have time to join a real knockout of an event in aid of a hospice.
The first ever Hartlepool & District Hospice It’s a Knockout tournament will be held on Saturdayat Hartlepool Old Boys Rugby Club.
Places are still available for two teams to enter, but they must register in advance with the hospice.
Hospice fundraiser Greg Hildreth said: “We are really looking forward to the day and our thanks go to all the teams who are coming.
“We are hoping to give everyone a day to remember and raise lots of money for the hospice.”
The competition will be based on the popular television series from the 70s and 80s.
Organiser Graham Fisher has been running these events since 1987 and started out with old BBC props.
Much has changed since then, with the addition of new ideas and equipment, but the fun of the competition remains as popular as ever.
It costs £10 for each person to enter and teams of 10 will compete in the inflatable arena.
Teams will be asked to raise sponsorship to help support the vital work of the hospice which provides specialist palliative care to the local communities of Hartlepool and East Durham.
