The Last Shadow Puppets add new North East date to tour

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has added a new North east date to the UK tour of his side project The Last Shadow Puppets.

The band - Turner, Miles Kane (The Rascals), James Ford and Zach Dawes - played a sold-out date in Middlesbrough two weeks ago.

Now they have added two new dates next month, including one at Newcastle City Hall on Monday, May 30.

The other is at De Montfort Hall in Leicester the following night.

Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Friday.

The tour is promoting TLSP's new album, Everything You've Come To Expect, which came out on Friday.

It is the follow-up to their 2008 Mercury-nominated debut, The Age Of The Understatement, which reached No 1.
