Mulit-platinum selling band, Cast, will headline the festival, supported by The Strypes.

Organisers of the ticket-only Seaton Rock, which will be staged on Saturday, July 1, are already hoping it will become an annual event.

This is the first year and is being organised by Ian Young with help from John Rogers and Joanne Winter and all profits will be donated to cancer charities in Hartlepool.

The event will be held on the coach car park and former fairground site in Seaton Carew from 11am to 10pm.

Ian previously told the Hartlepool Mail that he was hoping the 11-hour festival would be the biggest event to hit Seaton for years.

He said he had been organising the event since the beginning of November last year and was hoping for 6,000 to 10,000 people.
