LATEST NEWS: Robbery victim knocked out

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in which a man was knocked unconscious and had cash stolen from him.

The incident happened between 5.30pm and 5.55pm on Tuesday on a path which runs between West View Road and Whin Meadows, Hartlepool.

The 24-year-old victim was knocked unconscious and sustained superficial injuries to his face and head.

The robber then stole cash from his wallet.

Two men, both aged 24 and both from the Hartlepool area, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
