Learner pool at leisure centre in Hartlepool hit by closure

The learner pool at Mill House Leisure Centre, on Raby Road, could be out of use until the end of the week.

It is one of three pools at the centre, and is 0.9m deep.

A spokesman for Hartlepool Borough Council said: "The learner pool at Mill House Leisure Centre has been temporarily closed due to a burst pipe.

"Hartlepool Borough Council has deployed engineers to inspect the site and it is hoped the pool will re-open by the end of the week.

"All other services at the leisure centre are open as normal.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will provide regular updates at www.hartlepool.gov.uk"
