THE Mail’s Proud to be a Poolie campaign has gone down under.

This Hartlepool family are so proud of their town they backed our campaign when they visited Nitmiluk National Park, in the Northern Territory, Australia.

Linda and Ron Hornsey got behind the campaign to big-up the town when they visited their daughter Maxine who now lives in Australia.

Linda said: “My husband and I have recently returned from visiting our daughter Maxine and grandson James who now live in Katherine, Northern Territory, Australia.

Attached is a ‘Proud to be a Poolie’ picture of myself, my husband Ron and grandson James which was taken at Katherine Gorge, Northern Territory, Australia.”

Our thanks go to them for backing our Poolie campaign.
