Long-haired Aaron set to lose his locks for Make A Wish Foundation

A CARING Hartlepool man will have all his hair shaved off to raise money for a worthy cause.

Aaron Relton, 24, stands over 6ft tall and has hair which he describes as “half way down my back”.

But he will have it all shaved off and go completely bald in a sponsored shave to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation.

Aaron decided on the sponsored head shave in memory of Hartlepool’s little princess Taylor Stallard who passed away five years ago.

The Make A Wish Foundation UK helped Taylor by funding a holiday to Center Parks. Taylor was diagnosed with Immune Deficiency and Chronic Lung Disease from the age of one and died five years ago, aged four.

Aaron’s head shave will happen at the Poppy’s hairdressing salon in Victoria Road this Friday and Aaron said: “I want to raise about £500 but the more the better.”

Aaron, from the town centre area of Hartlepool, admits to “never having done anything like this before”.

He last had his hair cut around eight months ago and said: “I had about three inches taken off then but it’s still long. It is half way down my back and I am six foot tall.”

But Aaron is not daunted by the prospect. He said: “I am going to go completely bald.”

And he is rightly proud of the fact that his hair will go towards making wigs.
