FAMILIES are in for a magical time when a Halloween event takes place later this month.
Spoo-Quay, Hartlepool’s annual Halloween extravaganza, is taking place at the Maritime Experience on Friday, October 28.
The event, which runs from 4.30pm-7.30pm, is running with a Harry Potter theme this year with a host of activities taking place including pumpkin decorating, mask-making, soft play area and a Naughty Goblin treasure hunt.
People are encouraged to go along dressed as a witch, wizard or their favourite Harry Potter character.
Claire Munroe, of Hartlepool Council’s Cultural Services Section, said: “Brush up your brooms, dust off your wands and step into the mysterious world of wizards and witches for a fun-packed Halloween for all the family.
“Why not get really into the spirit of things by coming along in fancy dress? But don’t forget - tickets for Spoo-Quay are disappearing quicker than witches’ breath on a windowpane, so make sure you get yours today!”
Tickets for the event cost £3.50 per person (under twos are free) with free car parking in the Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience car park. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets must be paid for and collected in advance from Hartlepool Art Gallery and Tourist Information Centre in Church Square. Call (01429) 890000 for more information.
