THE Hartlepool Mail’s Peter Tennick is recovering from a charity challenge.
Dad-of-two Peter, 37, rowed the equivalent of the Great North Run half marathon on a rowing machine to raise cash for a good cause.
He took part in the challenge at The Gym, in Fishburn, to raise funds for the Friends of St William’s School group, which fundraises for St William’s RCVA School, in Trimdon Village.
In the past the group has bought items including books and equipment, as well as putting funding towards structural work being carried out at the school, off the village’s Elwick View.
Peter, deputy news editor at the Mail, said: “I did it in one hour and 41 minutes which was faster than I aimed to do it.
“The last two miles were really hard and I was pleased to reach the 13.1 mark.
“I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and made donations for a worthy cause.”
