Man arrested near town centre on suspicion of assault and theft
A man is being questioned after disturbance involving security staff.
Cleveland Police were called shortly before 2pm today by CCTV staff after security workers had detained a suspected shoplifter.
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the rear of Thornton Street on suspicion of assault and theft.
He remains in custody this evening.
