Man brandishing metal bar threatens woman and daughter in car park confrontation
Police have appealed for witnesses to an incident which is reported to have taken place in Anchor Retail Park in Hartlepool.
A woman and her daughter were in their navy Renault Megane when a man in a white taxi allegedly approached them.

Hide AdHe is then said to have brandished a metal bar while shouting aggressively at the woman.
An elderly lady attempted to calm the situation and we would appeal directly to her to contact us as she may have information which could help our inquiries.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment, on suspicion of affray and on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and he was released from custody while inquiries continue.
The incident happened at around 3.15pm on Sunday, May 7.
