A MAN who was found unconscious in a car park in Hartlepool has died.

The 39-year-old was found in Glamis Walk, off Wynyard Road, at 11.40pm on Monday.

The man, who has not been named, was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton in a critical condition but tragically died overnight, police have confirmed.

The area in Glamis Walk was taped off by police on Tuesday but have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said: “A 39-year-old man died in hospital overnight.

“Police are not treating his death as suspicious. Details will be passed to the coroner.”
