Man hurt in pub assault

A REVELLER suffered a broken ankle when he stumbled from the force of being punched in an attack.

Police are appealing for information after the assault at The Royal pub, in Church Street, Hartlepool.

Officers say the 37-year-old victim was punched twice to the face by another man and then fell, suffering a broken ankle.

The man was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, after the incident, which happened between 12.30am and 1am on Monday, August 20.
