Man left with multiple injuries after daylight attack in Hartlepool

A MAN was left with a dislocated shoulder and head and facial injuries after being set upon in an unprovoked and sustained daylight attack.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault in Bruce Crescent in the West View area of Hartlepool.

The 32-year-old victim was targeted at around 5.20pm on Friday, April 10.

Officers say that his assailant punched and kicked him in what they have described as an “unprovoked and prolonged attack”.

A police spokeswoman said: “The attack left the victim with a dislocated shoulder and numerous head and facial injuries which required treatment at the University Hospital of North Tees.

“The suspect is described as aged in his mid-forties and of stocky build. He was last seen walking in the direction of Winterbottom Avenue.”
