A man has been taken to hospital after falling from a cliff at Crimdon in the early hours of this morning.
Hartlepool Coastguard were called to the scene at 5.07am, and the male was located on the beach below the cliff.
The team assisted the ambulance service team with moving the casualty onto their Polaris specialised vehicle and then to a waiting land ambulance.
The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesborough.
Durham Police and Seaham Coastguard were also called to the scene.
