A man has been taken to hospital following with serious injuries following an incident at Billingham railway station this evening.
The North East Ambulance Service were called to the station on Marsh House Avenue at 4:35pm and took the man to James Cook Hospital's major trauma unit via ambulance.
The cause of their injuries is not known. Crews left the scene at 5pm.
A North East Ambulance spokesman said: "We were called by the British Transport Police at 4:35pm to Billingham railway station.
"We sen a paramedic ambulance crew and transported a man to the major trauma unit at James Cook hospital,"
As emergency services dealt with the incident, all rail lines were blocked from the station causing delays to services, but all lines are now open.
