A BODY found in the water at Hartlepool Marina has yet to be formerly identified.
The body was pulled from the water on Friday last week after it was spotted by a fisherman.
But police have still not identified the body, with a spokeswoman for Cleveland Police saying: “A formal identification has yet to be carried out.”
Diving experts from Northumbria Police had been scouring the marina’s depths for missing Hartlepool man Joshua Willingale since last Wednesday, but their underwater efforts had proved fruitless.
The last confirmed sighting of the 24-year-old was captured on CCTV at 1.42am on Saturday, September 15, in the area near the Premier Inn, at Jackson’s Dock.
